Burke's connections,
with the connections drawn live.

the new money really stimulated trade.

James Burke · Death in the Morning · 4:30

As he says it, the web draws it. Every person, place and thing he names lights up beside the video, on a globe, a timeline and this web of connections, and each link appears the moment he makes it.

A note from Karl

First working version of a thing I've been threatening to build for years. The 2,500-odd people, places and things, and the links between them, were read out of the episode transcripts by Claude, so what surfaces beside the video is what Burke actually says, at the second he says it.

Death in the Morning is the first episode taken all the way through: every connection written against the transcript and timed to the word. The other 55 are rougher, and open one at a time as they get the same treatment. None of it has been through my own hands yet. That part comes next.

Still: tell me what felt wrong and what felt right.
